In 2006, after years of preaching and lecturing, Dr. Pamela R. Lightsey established OneNabi Consulting, Inc. The company name was created in 1999 in honor of her grandson to whom she gave the nickname “Nabi” – Hebrew meaning prophet - because she wanted him to grow up understanding his potential to do great things.
Having one grandchild and recognizing the ability of each individual to achieve their own personal level of success, Dr. Lightsey began the company with the name OneNabi Ministries. At the time, her work consisted of preaching at area churches.
Key to the success of this company is a consistent display of intellectual rigor, intergenerational relevance and tactful humor brought to the fore by a core group of researchers and analysts who make up her company’s team.
Today, Dr. Lightsey’s work has expanded to include conference workshops, writing publications, motivational speeches and travels to groups and organizations across the nation and the world.
Her innovative doctoral work on classical and contemporary just war theory from a Pan African perspective, her conflict resolution skills, as well as her staunch support for the fair and just treatment of all humanity and this created world has earned OneNabi the “go to” reputation among companies looking for dynamic and inspiring speakers.
